September already! How the summer has flown by.  To celebrate the start of the new “school year”, we’ve made a short video about us and our writing – we hope you enjoy it.  And if you have a look below the “Loose Women,” you’ll find a few words from each of us about where we are with our projects.

Two years ago I uploaded Tall, Dark and Kilted on Create Space and tentatively pressed the ‘GO’ button. That kick-started my adventure as an indie author and it’s been a whirlwind ride. I now have two books available on amazon, a raft of reviews, thriving social networking presence and a growing number of readers. It’s been hard work but I’ve done it and I’m proud to have travelled the road with my fellow New Romantics: June, Adrienne and Mags. What does the future hold for me? Hopefully…

I write contemporary women's fiction mostly based in Scotland with hot heroes, feisty heroines and always a happy ending. Along with three other authors - Adrienne Vaughan, June Kearns and Margaret Cullingford - I formed the New Romantics Press under which our books are published. I have published seven novels since 2012, the latest being Dark Highland Skies. I am currently working on #8 which I hope to publish in 2024.     Just love your website, Lizzie. I think it’s brilliant the way you have all joined together, making a unique contribution. We have always been a combined effort too, but I see now that I didn’t compile it properly in the first place, leaving more than a few people very confused!
    Thank you for showing me how it should be done, and more power to all of your elbows!

      Thank you so much for taking the time to check us out and for leaving such a great comment. We’re all learning as we go along; two years ago we hadn’t even dreamed of becoming indie authors let alone having a website. Baby steps, that’s our philosophy. Good luck with all your efforts, too.
